The Serengeti Wildebeest Migration Safari can be combined with our Zanzibar Beach Holidays.

DAY 1: ARRIVAL IN TANZANIA, ARUSHA

Our Serengeti Wildebeest Migration Safari will start in Tanzania’s tourism capital, Arusha. We shall arrive via the Kilimanjaro Airport, where our Tour Leader will be ready to receive us and kick start our journey. We shall then head to our hotel in Arusha, where we shall check in.

On this day, if we have an early arrival, we may explore local attractions around Arusha. Otherwise, we can relax and enjoy the nice Arusha weather from our lodge; preparing for our Serengeti Wildebeest Migration Safari.

DAY 2: NGORONGORO CRATER – CROSSING THE GREAT RIFT VALLEY

We shall enjoy the day at the beautiful Ngorongoro crater, which is a major highlight on our Serengeti Wildebeest Migration Safaris. The mighty Ngorongoro is indeed an amazing place. It is known as one of the wonders of Africa. Descending down the crater floor takes you through great scenery and you get to experience the local Euphorbia tree varieties.

Herds of wild animals are plenty inside the crater as well as wonderful views of the crater walls. Look out for the local African Lions, Black Rhinos, Common Zebras, Cheetah, assorted Gazelles, Nile Hippos and White-bearded Wildebeests.

DAY 3, 4 AND 5: NORTHERN SERENGETI NATIONAL PARK – RIVER CROSSINGS AND MIGRATING HERDS

We shall then proceed to Serengeti National Park; where our next leg of the Serengeti Wildebeest Migration Safari takes place. We shall enjoy game drives in this wonderful park as we enjoy the scenery of these vast plains. We shall spend time looking around some of the famous rock outcrops, often referred as Kopjes.

We shall maximise time in the Northern Serengeti area, where the large migrating herds are concentrated. We may be lucky to witness the famous river crossing – a popular sight on all Serengeti Wildebeest Migration Safaris. Look out for animals such as Leopard, Cheetah, Cape Buffalo, assorted Gazelles, Maasai Giraffe, White-bearded Wildebeest, Common Zebras, Savannah Elephant and African Lions.

DAY 6: NORTHERN SERENGETI TO CENTRAL SERENGETI – KOPJES AND ENDLESS PLAINS

We shall spend the morning in Northern Serengeti seeking any experiences we may have missed. From here, we shall continue our Serengeti Wildebeest Migration Safari to the Central Serengeti plains; where more adventure awaits.

Here you shall also get an opportunity to learn more about the famous Serengeti migration and get to follow in the steps of the Wildebeests in a lovely Kopje rock, modelled to imitate the migration cycle. This is always a big highlight on all our Serengeti Wildebeest Migration Safaris.

DAY 7: SERENGETI NATIONAL PARK TO ARUSHA

We shall enjoy a game drive as we exit Serengeti National Park; seeking any animals we still need for our Serengeti Wildebeest Migration Safari list. We may choose to continue exploring the Central Serengeti plains, or move farther South to the Ndutu area.

We shall later drive to Arusha; cruising through the Ngorongoro highlands. We shall then take an airport transfer for the flights home; marking the end to our Serengeti Wildebeest Migration Safari.
