NGARE NDARE FOREST DAY TOUR

Enjoy a great day in Africa’s best expanding-canopy forest, Ngare Ndare. This day trip offers a memorable experience as you enjoy driving across the Kenyan highlands towards the Northern Kenya region.

On our way to Ngare Ndare Forest, we shall make a stop-over at the Mt. Kenya viewing spot, where we hope to enjoy stunning views of Africa’s second-highest mountain peak.

We shall also enjoy a stop at the famous Equator Line, an imaginary line that transects the Earth into two equal halves – making up the Northern and Southern Hemispheres. Here we shall learn some basics about the Equator and also enjoy some photos.

When we arrive at Ngare Ndare Forest, we shall enjoy a hike with one of the local forest guides, as we enjoy nature and different animals that live here. We shall be on the look-out for some of the beautiful birds that live in this forest, like the stunning Hartlaub’s Turaco.

We shall then enjoy the waterfalls and swimming pools, where a cool dip is always a highlight on all our Ngare Ndare Forest Day Tours. These pools have a rich blue colour and offer a great photo opportunity too.

We shall then enjoy a 500 metre-long canopy walk, which allows you a great view into the forest. Here, we sometimes enjoy views of mammals below the canopy walk bridge. Common animals in the forest include African Buffaloes, Bushbuck and Savannah Elephants, but on some occasions they may have moved deeper into the forest away from the canopy walk.

We shall leave Nairobi early and head North to Ngare Ndare Forest. Most groups choose to depart at 0500hrs to allow an easy day; but a later departure is also possible. In the later afternoon, we shall drive back to Nairobi, marking the end to our exciting Ngare Ndare Forest Day Tour.
